The Dutch poet and painter Marko Klomp studied at the St. Joost art academy in Breda from 1994 to 1998. Marko is guided in his paintings by different facets of contrast. The use of a blurry focus is characteristic of his work. In 2012 Marko participated in the TV program "Sterren op het doek" where he won with his portrait of Jeroen Krabbé. In addition, he was allowed to participate in 2015 in the final of the program in which Hanneke Groenteman was the model herself. Marko also made a guest appearance on the TV program "Krabbé searches van Gogh". Here Marko was allowed to follow in the footsteps of Vincent van Gogh by giving his interpretation of the work of the grandmaster in the heart of Montmartre. Poetry has always been close to his paintings. In 2010 Marko made his debut with his poetry collection "Splinting the lifeline".
