Painting: Oil on Canvas.
Expressive piece inspired primarily by the sky and its constantly changing cloud formations. Secondary infuences include music (Squarepusher this time) and a drawer full of different red tubes of oil paint.
Colour note: the central orange colour is a close match with RAL 2012 (Lachsorange). The main plum-coloured central section shares tones with RAL 4004 (Bordeauxviolet), admixed with white to produce a soft pastel colour in areas.
Painted on a canvas-wrapped board (with gallery corners). Edges are neatly painted and the piece is strung with picture wire, ready to hang. Signed and dated by me on the back.
*I currently use the RAL K7 Classic colour chart to assist with the descirption of the colours in my paintings as computer monitors vary so much. I like the RAL system as I've always come across it in commercial paint shops.
