ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Tempera on wooden panel 50x70 cm 1 cm depth Year 2018 Tibetan girl Original painting by Stacy Shpak. One of a kind. "Tibetan portraits" collection I was inspired by the famous photographer. I painted it by his pictures. The wooden pannel is in the form of house. Cause Tibet is called the roof of the world. I loved to paint on wood:) wood is my passion... every wooden panel has it’s own story, it’s own structure and texture... I painted my Tibetan people with tempera for bright colors... people who live so far and so high as they are so close to Gods? Probably that’s why I used the same materials as Russian old masters for painting icons... Artwork will be sent to you very carefully packed in protective packaging. The painting is titled on the back and comes with a sertificate of authenticy! Smoking free home! The portrait will perfectly stand on your bedside table or chest of drawers, or it can be hung on the wall.

I am a Russian artist based in Moscow. Born in 1981. Human emotions, ways of expressing them, postures, faces, interaction with the outside world interests and nourishes me. The person who is always with me is my daughter Barbara, she is 5 years old. Through her I comprehend. I associate with her. Through her I live everything again. She is my Alice in Wonderland. I love showing movement in my paintings, repeating, repeating the same thing, brightly, catchy, fantastic as a child. Unusual details, movement, color - my style. The transmission of emotions through color is very important for me. "Color is primary": said Kazemir Malevich. What is yellow? The color of hysteria, a running, heat. And at the same time, color is something edible that you want to put inside yourself.
