VIEW IN MY ROOM
I continued the Tokyo Blues series by incorporating the cherry blossom season which is coming to an end. As the season comes to an end, flurries of cherry blossoms rain down everywhere. This is called sakura fubuki (cherry blossom blizzard). Although this painting is a mindscape, I was thinking about my experience at Chidorigafuchi which is a popular cherry blossom viewing location. In the countryside you can enjoy peaceful cherry blossom viewings, however in certain peak times in Tokyo it’s a similar scene to my painting.
