This work is inspired by my "Strata" series where I paint one layer over another trying to convey the changing nature of things. In the end, all we see is the surface, but there is much more behind it, there is a story in each person, each object, each landscape. Splatter and calligraphy techniques are used to add depth and meaning to the piece.
