ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was made inspired of life in our country house in Spain and the tomatoes are from our garden. I get to know the objects I paint, that feeling of ripe and taste they transmit. I chose for them a black and white background that enhance the red of the ripe tomatoes and also is very Mediterranean. My food painting collection backgrounds are inspired in linen tablecloths my grandgrandmother made. I really liked the idea of material and knowledge legacy. How the ideas and materials pass on trough generations. The background is draw with pencils, and acrylic paint. The tomatoes are drawn with oil paints.
