ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I painted this abstract in oils on stretched canvas. It was late spring, and the colors were beginning to burst with life. Everything was nourished, there had been plenty of rain. And so blues and aqua laid the foundation. There was a lot of sunlight and the whites and cadmium yellows answered that. I wanted structure in the painting and a balance as well. The sides of the canvas are painted and it is varnished and wired for hanging.
