My name is Asya Aseeva. I’m an abstract artist living in Moscow, Russia. I graduated from the Moscow Academic Art Lyceum of the Russian Academy of Arts. Currently I'm painting acrylic on canvas. I am constantly studying and taking classes from well-known artists, improving my skills and drawing inspiration from other artists, participating in competitions. My creative path began as the antithesis of my technical education. I was deeply immersed in human psychology and neurosociology. I was fascinated by the ambivalence of human nature, the logical neural train of thought on one side and the seemingly irrational storms of emotion on the other. This led me to create paintings in the style of abstract expressionism. In my work I use a brushstroke and various objects such as threads, rollers, cards, toothbrushes. I apply, sprinkle and dab the colour and then partially remove it. By doing this I achieve a layering and a depth effect, as a reflection of the many layers of human feelings. With my work I want to express different points of the sensual spectrum: tenderness, ecstasy, curiosity, disgust, powerlessness, rage.
