Frida Kahlo is in a non-physical plane, an astral plane, after her death in this world, where she is transmuting all the emotions and situations of her life like Frida.
Her calm and serene gaze lost in that limbo of peace and harmony where at last she communes fully with her spirit to be filled with conscience and understanding. The circles mean the beginning and the end of each cycle of emotions and each situation of her life, as well as past and future lives where she will have to conclude these cycles that have already begun to open, and they must be closed.
Situations and emotions that tormented her so much. Closures of karmas for its evolution towards that next dimension where there is no pain or blockages of negativity.
Tulips are my gift to her, since they are my favorite flowers, and the purple one represents the flower of transmutation, of change.
It is the step to that new opening of consciousness and of transformation towards the liberation of her soul.
The techniques I used in this work are acrylic, collage, molding paste, I also used a real earring, to give more accuracy to the art work, and wood cuts on wood.
I used warm tones for her face so that there would be a very direct connection with her and the viewer, while for the background I used cold tones, now that she is in the space in another plane, and so I achieved a contrast filled with vibrant colors which characterizes my work.
