ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is part of a number of ongoing works that I call my 'Strata' series. It focuses primarily on colour interactions and tonal associations in a loose grid that also provides some structure and visual order. Painted in acrylic on 3mm / 1/4inch board it has some very slight texture and varying elements of flatness and gloss, and is supplied ready to hang in a 5cm /2inch deep limed-timber shadow edge frame. This artwork generates an emotive response from to the deliberately considered colour combinations and placement of elements. Perfectly suited to modern architectural interiors, this artwork will provide a dramatic focal point to a room.
