Each painting represents a moment of clarity. During these moments, I feel calm and at peace - grounded like a "rock". That is profoundly satiating and regenerating. I believe that kind of nourishment can only be experienced in nature, such as while tree-bathing in centuries-old moss-covered woods, floating in a vast body of fresh water, or standing barefoot on the sun-toasted Canadian Shield. These moments inspire me to draw - from my imagination - "snapshots" of abstract compositions. With these snapshots, I give myself the liberty to express and aspire for well-being.
