Germany
Wally Bistrich lives near Munich, Bavaria, Germany. She paints since her school days and in 2004 she gave up her career in the software industry to follow her passion for painting on a professional basis. She took a variety of workshops and courses and concentrated first on contemporary landscape painting. Since 2012 she focuses on exploring the enormous possibilities given by the recent developments of acrylic mediums. Still with the view of a landscape painter, her paintings show a strong tendency to the abstract, with a 3-dimensional surface. She uses thick transparent or semi-transparent glossy layers, sometimes in contrast to very mat or coarse picture elements. Her paintings are found in German, Austrian and Hungarian collections.
