This "Trojan" series of paintings is an expression of the Ancient Trojan people who lived in large territories of Asia Minor and Europe. Troy was a city, both factual and legendary, located in north-west Anatolia, south-east of the Dardanelles and beside Mount Ida. It is best known for being the setting of Trojan War described in the Greek Epic Cycle (Ancient Greek epic poems that related the story of the Trojan War) and especially in the Iliad which is one of the Homer's two epic poems, Iliad and Odyssey. Anatolia’s the cradle of the civilizations… the images of her colorful past is still hiding in her heart... Every stone, every piece of marble has a story to tell. This series of paintings convey the distant images from my native land. It is with the desire to bring back to life the emotions, the colours and the struggles described by Homer, that I decided to paint the warriors of Troy. The Trojan, display their weapons and their strength, but neither Paris who hit Achille from the heel with an arrow, nor Achille can hide their vulnerabilities... No framing required, ready to hang.
