ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is about love. The intense connection between two people and the enormous trust they have in each other. The one cannot do without the other in this position: you can only fly with a solid base. In a larger perspective, this painting is about confidence in the future. I have worked with colorful layers that are partially covered with transparent white hues. The contours are made with thick paint strokes with a lot of relief. Artist ART Eva Maria SOURCE OF INSPIRATION "Looking at people's faces and trying to figure out how they feel and what they think - that is my source of inspiration. This mysterious aspect fascinates me. Afterwards I will tell my own story - in colours and lines - about these people using various visual tools." I see nature (both landscapes and faces) as a gift that shows itself to me. I'm trying to catch the feeling that's inside of me, while being an observator. Showing the reality is not important, it's my personal impression and emotion that I wish to communicate. This is a very intuitive process during which my hand glides on paper or canvas. This way I am able to tell my own story in layers, colours and lines. Afterwards the art is not mine anymore and open to other people's eyes, making new stories as well. I'm always searching for new ways for my art (small to large sizes, different techniques) to travel and show themselves to public.
