Art Description

Painting: Acrylic on Wood.

Like most people, I revere the things of my childhood, and this piece recalls my earliest memories of my Grandmother and Grandfather visiting every Saturday, always bringing candy or sometimes toys. Whatever the gift, it was always something that today I recognize as quintessentially "1970's." This represents one of my favoured toys, an old Batmobile that I could easily disassemble, pretending this little cockpit section could be an "eject!" action, or even act as a type of flying vehicle to my young, but very active, imagination.
