This spring tulips were so huge in my garden - unfortunately, I never took a picture of them, left with a memory of these luscious blooms. So the memory spilled onto canvas, and here we are. I used oil paints squeezing them out of the tubes onto canvas, then used my fingers to paint the bacchanalia and wantonness of floral excess. This painting took almost five months to dry - talking about excess! A gorgeous, breathtaking piece, you'll love it in person - such an amazing energy of strength and joy emanates from this painting.
