This work was painted in oil (Ladoga and Master Class) on linen canvas in my signature technique of grass-writing. The surface in places is textured, voluminous, rough, with particles of grass. I painted this picture in the open air in Buryatia, in one of the most beautiful places in Russia. Not far from Lake Baikal.
The plot for this work came to me when I sat on the bank of the river and looked into the distance, at the Sayan Mountains.
It depicts a lonely house, which stands in the middle of a huge valley, where there is a river below and a mountain at the top.
