About The Artwork
I take an intense interest in Chinese Taoist philosophy and Zen Buddhist teachings. It was the understanding of these theories that led my own aesthetic awakening. In the Zen thought system, the cleanrity of the mirror can be used as a metaphor for the purity of the mind. In a way, painting is like a mirror, it is not so much a system of knowledge construction, but rather a distribution of sense, a portrayal of the inner vacuity.
