The creation of beauty is art.” Ralph Waldo Emerson Rina lives near Cape Town, South Africa and feels blessed to be in one of the world’s most breathtakingly beautiful settings. The majestic slopes of Table Mountain that drop away into the deep blue Atlantic, with beaches of powdery white sand, is the inspiration for this artwork. The blue, turquoise, and earthy colours in mixed media, portray the beauty of Cape Town’s beaches. About the artist’s work: Beaches and the ocean are close to Rina’s heart. As an avid snorkeler, living close to the Cape coast, she finds inspiration and joy in and on the water. The colours at the beach change all through the day, the energy ebbs and flows with the tide and the people come and go, in an endless cycle. Clients who love a particular element of nature, or colour spectrum, or medium can arrange a consultation with Rina to commission a piece that evokes a memory, image or energy for their own space. Artwork notes: This piece is a completely unique and original abstract oil painting on hand-crafted artist’s canvas, using 100% pure cotton, kiln-dried certified selected timber frame and hand primed with acrylic-based primer. A thin layer of varnish protects the artwork against UV light and dust. This painting is not framed, but comes ready to hang with the sides painted. Framing is unnecessary, but may be preferred, depending on the client’s wishes. The artwork is signed on the side and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
