ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Size: 46" W x 46" H (116 x 116 cm) This artwork symbolizes water as a natural force, the power to destroy and create. To convey the feeling of a body of water, I used several shades of blue and special techniques for applying paint to the surface. I combined wide, short bluish strokes with numerous paint smudges and graphic lines. Together with horizontal and vertical strokes, all this resembles the surface of water, under which is hidden something more, secret, unknown. It seems to me that this can become a metaphor for the inner life that is in each of us, but is not always visible due to external equanimity.
