A small comment on spatialism art movement Ufo from space, lead, aluminum and acrylic on masonite,"Ufo dal spazio" is part of a collection of artworks on space ufology, flying discs and space machines, a small collection of works that are all different, one different from the other. The idea of these works gives substance to my fascination with the spatialism art movement, the idea of beyond and the search for space. I say: to go forward one can not look only in front of own feet. To progress, we must create and look forward. Why "Ufo from space"? Because others want to discover new forms of life, new spaces. Men and history have never stopped, at least with the idea of creativity, to think beyond. Imagine if with the UFOs came new creatures which scenarios would open? My works are born from this idea. Good or wrong it is. The teacher Antonio Saporito

Antonio Saporito is a contemporary Italian artist based in Turin, Italy, with numerous accolades recognizing his distinctive artistic vision. His works have been exhibited widely in Italy and internationally, including in museums, foundations, Italian Cultural Institutes, Artissima, and more. Saporito's unique artistic style has attracted the attention of some of Italy’s most respected art critics, such as Paolo Levi, Gian Giorgio Massara, Vittorio Sgarbi, Angelo Mistrangelo, Guido Folco, Luciano Carini, Massimo Centini, and Giulia Silato. THE GEOMETRIC SPATIALISM The geometric spatialism is the Saporito's original research. Strongly anchored to material, this one, cut, shaped and perforated with surgical and geometric rigor, represents the synthesis of Saporito's art. Steel, aluminum, copper and lead are wisely transformed into labyrinths of carved signs to reveal the beyond there is behind the material. The rigor and the essence that characterize his works become elements to transcend reality, to look and scan what exists behind the appearance, in the continuous search of the unknowable, of the future, of the unreachable mystery of man.
