"Un cielo para Cata..." Painting

The births of my children have been very moving in my life and work. Watching them has always amazed me. After such marvellous experience, the need to immortalize those moments in great scenarios was born. Perfect instants that we can't lose, that we're afraid to forget. No past, no future, and where everything flows into an eternal present. Friendships, love, the gift of being a mother, childhood are the topics of which my works speak about. Toys take on a life of their own and tell small stories of reality. Magical atmospheres, dolls that laugh and involve us, overcoming our subject-object distinction. Flat backgrounds, without anecdote, have been transformed, wrapped and protecting the main characters. These protagonists are painted in deep detail to include the viewer in the story, an instant of pure pleasure.
