About The Artwork
This painting was created since a photograph I took from the stairs of a bridge that crosses one of the highways in Buenos Aires, the city in which I live. The shadows of the bridge's structure was part of the pathway and this made me imagine how virtual and physical world can encounter one to the other in a always changing way. During the day this shadows move, change their angle till its disappearance affecting that space. So this made me think on how does the virtuality we experiment through the screens of our electronic devices affect the spaces we inhabit. How does it change our perceptions of it?

I am interested in how we experiment movement nowadays due to the use of screens and mobile devices, which affects our perceptions of the reality. Most of the time, moving around depends more and more on the displacement of the eye from screen to screen than of our bodies from place to place. Do we choose where to stop our look or does it suffer from an erratic movement? I work on paintings that distort and deconstruct architectures rebuilding them into new spaces. I am interested in decoding the flows between real and virtual worlds where space and time seem to be dissociated.
