70 x 50 x 1 cm (27.5 x 19,6 in) mixed media on paper Welcome to my studio. The work raises questions about physical change, bodily damage and external flaws. I am interested in the things that appear or we find out that make up our being as they emerge. My practice continually develops as uncertainty and indecision come into play. The works embody feelings of both separation and attachment, where a certain crisis or sense of release can be felt. I draw from life experience associated with the body. I'm Nikos Lamprinos. I am concerned with expression over-representation where destruction plays an important role in my practice. I work with typical art materials such as paint, plaster and textiles. White emulsions of plaster are dyed with luminescent pigments, large quilts, mattress protectors and clothing offer me a surface to paint on.
