Untitled (I) Painting

This body of work can be seen as a transition from my past approach of working with figurative forms and illustrative techniques. These pieces were created using found pieces of plastic that I used to smooth out various hues of blue with white. This series was created to exhibit the sensation of the work and materials involved as opposed to something more illustrative. These are colors I frequently used in my more figurative work, but here they are used in a more direct application to create a result that highlights both tonal range and the motions used to create the work. Each piece is individually signed and numbered on the back.
