I was born in Cervignano del Friuli, Italy in 1964, and I live and work in Porcia, province of Pordenone. I started painting when I was very young. I am self-taught. I have participated in group exhibitions, art fairs, and solo shows. My work ranges from abstract to figurative, using a combination of oil paints and pastels. I paint on various surfaces, from canvas to paper, creating works that invite the viewer to freely interpret my compositions, which rarely have titles. By combining oil and pastel, I achieve effects that allow me to represent both pure abstraction and more classical figuration. Each piece is a personal journey, a moment of encounter between my imagination and the material. Female figures, enveloped in an aura of melancholy, stand out against abstract backgrounds. My paintings explore themes of solitude, introspection, and grace, a dialogue between figure and ground, between the concrete and the abstract. The composition is designed to create a sense of balance and harmony. The figures, placed against abstract backgrounds, seem to float in a timeless space, in search of a lost grace.
