ABOUT THE ARTWORK
V-Hand is the representation of an iconic gesture used by many cultures to indicate "victory". In other contexts, the V-shaped hand is a sign of peace. The author created this painting during the second lockdown in Italy, which took place between February and March 2021, to hope for a return to the now lost normality. A year after the first manifestations of the virus, V-hand wants to exorcise the nightmare into which the entire world population has fallen and, with a popular and shared gesture, give comfort and trust.
