My name is Letizia and I am passionate about painting. I lived in Florence for almost 30 years, graduating in 1979 from the Porta Romana Art Institute. I worked as a furniture designer for many years, between Florence, Pisa and Lucca. In 1994 I moved to Camaiore where I still live. Due to various vicissitudes and professional crises I abandoned my job as a designer and took up employment in a law firm in Pisa. The work so little suited to my "artistic" nature led me to seek creativity in other forms: first passionate about photography, in particular street photography, exhibiting my photos in collective exhibitions in Livorno, Florence, Pisa and Camaiore; then, in 2019 after a course at the studio of a Dutch artist, I discovered painting and fell madly in love with it, so much so that I spent most of my free time between colors and brushes. I started with colorful watercolors of fantastic cities and towns and then moved on to acrylic, a painting technique that still excites me and involves me deeply. I love bright colours, fuchsia pinks, acid greens, sunny oranges, distorted shapes, childish and naïve figures of animals and women, flowers in every variety and aspect, collages with newspapers, photographs, ropes. I paint on canvas, paper and ceramic.
