I work mainly in acrylic on canvas or paper, sometimes in oil and occasionally in gouache on paper. My work is almost entirely representational, with a surrealistic bent. Even those pieces that appear abstract, are not really: for some time (2003-present) I have been doing a lot of work based on close-ups of rocks, minerals and natural forms like crystals and others as seen under a microscope. Also lately I have been working on a surrealistic, ‘black humour’ take on the advertising world. These works have a highly realistic style.
