Painting: Oil, Paint, Color on Canvas.
This is a polyptich with 9 tables. it is a technique of inprinting the color onto the surface with a help of a net. it has a number of layers. some strokes and color are deliberate, and others are incidental. Technically this is a long process.
Its roots come from a very simple thing. On some previous work I have tried to mimic the richness of the paper onto a canvas. Paper has its fullness, its one quality, in contrast of canvas that is nearly a surface, that the artist uses. It has no quality on its on. Paper can be beautiful and in some sense full even when there is nothing on it. So I had tried to artificially give to a canvas the richness of the paper. In that thought is the origin of this series. Gradually it stopped being a problem of fullness and it became a play of colors- Variation.
The title is a reference of variation of color and light. I've explored the boundary of colors an its variations that human eye can see and experience.
No other technique could provide with such depth and in some way relief, but on the other hand stay in the boundaries of natural tones.
Hanging hardware is not included, it is a canvas stretched on a wooden frame. the quality of the canvas is good, and the colors are french and italian.
