Velvet Haze Painting

I am a modern minimalist artist who lives in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Creativity has always been a part of my life. Since I was a little girl, my family would encourage me to let my imagination run wild. I was born in Kiev, Ukraine, and raised in the United States, I was exposed to an array of cultures—and their artistic traditions—from an early age. An aptitude for painting, drawing and other creative endeavors led me to pursue a rigorous education at the prestigious A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida. There, I honed a vast skill set. Following high school, I attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in graphic design. Today, I’m a senior graphic designer for a national interior design and architecture publication. While thriving in this position, I continue to find fulfillment in painting. With a renowned education, 20 years of painting experience and a love for interior design, I understand fine art’s particular power. As I put each paint-covered brush to canvas, I’m guided by a vision of the piece in its future home. Influenced by this intention, as well as light and color, I create paintings which speak to impressionist, contemporary, abstract and figurative sensibilities. Each piece is a layered creation and fusion of chemical reactions and painting. The full painting process is a multi-layer process, which gives these pieces a multidimentional and polished look. Because of this, they tend to reflect the warmth and colors of the room they are in.
