Title of this artwork is: Verdigris. This artwork is unique and original acrylic painting on canvas .Dimensions of this artwork is 80*80 cm or 31.49 *31.49 in. Inspiration for this artwork came from patina, a green or brown film on the surface of bronze or similar metals, produced by oxidation over a long period of time. The green patina that forms naturally on copper and bronze, is called verdigris. I wanted to make painting that looks like old oxidized bronze , that can fit perfectly in industrial living space. For this artwork I used lots of colors but mostly: bronze, turquoise, black, green, blue, and gold. This artwork is hand signed by me, on the right bottom of the canvas. This artwork is made in 2020 and it's part of my "special summer edition".

I'm Croatian based artist, living my whole life in Croatia. I have been creating my art for more than ten years. I drew my whole life, but it was 2009 when I've started to paint. My first and only medium is and was acrylic, it goes well with my impatient nature, I have tried oils for a short period of time but it didn't suit me so well, so I have continued with acrylics. For many years I have tried a lots of different styles and techniques from realistic to abstract art. Currently I'm working in abstract style because I found it most amusing, and also most relaxing. I always say for myself that I have two sides, one is bright and other is dark, and for the past years I have been painting realistic art with darker colors and very controlled brush strokes, and now I'm doing totally contrary. I think I have been repressing my light side, once I've opened it, it was like explosion of colors and uncontrolled, loose brush strokes. I have struggled with art, just like all the artist, art is definitely emotional rollercoaster. Sometimes it drives me mad, sometimes I wish I didn't have that crazy urge to make art, often I've get frustrated because I think my art is not good enough, or if I don't have time to paint, whatever it is, art for me is something constant, something I'm coming back over ond over again. I started to make abstract art and use very bright colors to heal my artistic mind, to loosen up, it comes to me like some kind of meditation, also i think is very pretty and positive when you come to your home and see this bright paintings on your wall, makes your day a little bit better.
