ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I believe that each of us wants to be elsewhere from ourselves, often or sometimes. Looking at the buildings, I imagine a floor or two flying away from a situation, from a concrete attachment. I would like anyone who looks at this painting to think of lightness. I would like it to be possible to achieve a certain lightness, even if it feels as heavy as the painted palace. I wanted to paint in an elementary and geometric way because I wanted to give more impact on the representation of a detachment, its strong and direct meaning.

I take a surface, I leave marks on it, colored shapes several times, I erase and redo everything. I like to leave every degree of intensity I felt in doing it in a picture. I mix wax crayons with tempera pencils and acrylics, leaving everything I am at the time of painting in the picture. I define myself as an expressionist who paints faces, bodies, landscapes, the spaces around anything.
