Vicissitude Painting

Fluid acrylics are used to create a setting of ebb and flow. Moments in the painting are both organic and intentional. Large swirls of paint give the piece a feeling of motion. A square pattern and balls are incorporated to give the viewer a moment of rest. Metallic paints are used to give the painting a shimmering quality. Artist grade resin has been applied as a final coat to give the piece a glass like finish. The painting is ready to hang with hooks both vertically and horizontally. M Jackson has been inspired for many years by working fast and in the moment with wet fluid paint. This piece is a continuation in that body of work. This work is titled "Vicissitude" which means change. This title given to the piece to remind the viewer that change is always possible and we only remain the same if that is what we choose.
