SUELY BLOT Imbued with this dual Franco-Brazilian culture for twenty years, my painting is multicultural and carries with it diversity. It is from this richness and particularity that I draw my inspiration and creativity. To create, I am inspired by several great artists, all from different artistic currents. It is obvious that the works of Picasso, Miro, Basquiat, Richter or even Wou-ki played a primary role in my relationship with art and more broadly in my relationship with the world. Abstraction and expressionism are certainly the ones that have always made me most vibrate and transcend me. Undeniably, my painting is tinged with these influences. In general, my paintings are highly colorful. I always start with the colors. They are the first elements I put on the canvas and follow the seasons. I take up the aesthetic particularities of each of them to unveil an imaginary and very personal world. In spring, for example, I mainly use pastel colors. In summer, on the contrary, warm colours such as yellow, red or orange are more present. I like to discover and understand the mixture of pigments between them. How can one colour, when mixed with another, give a whole range of possibilities? It is as well by working the bright and bright colors as cold and soft, that I manage to create a whole color chart that is my own. Each painting is an invitation to the viewer.
