ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Maharashtra has its traditional wear- 9 yards sari, worn in a typical style. Seeds are symbols of procreation. The umbrella is a symbol of security, which is commonly used to protect one from rain as well as in the sun. I tried to depict protection instinct of vulnerables through use of OILS with simple finger strokes on a canvas could help me recreate the transparency as well as dull colour mixing.
