WILD FLOWERS Painting

Wild flowers (2013). Was painted in response to the yearning all humans have to connect with nature, whether we acknowledge it or not. Living in concrete jungles cuts us off from our roots and shrivels the soul. I painted wild flowers as a release, when I felt over powered by the the yearning to escape my walls and walk in the flowers. I hope that viewers will feel the same sense of renewal and connect with nature's blessings that I feel whenever I look up at it. I painted this in bright cheerful colours with thick layered textures as an antidote to the blankness of the walls which enclose us.
