ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I have never painted a Polar Bear so this was a different challenge from my other wildlife paintings. With the current climate change debate this is one animal that is potentially in a very bad place. I tried to capture the remoteness of the Artic with a foreboding sky and surrounding water showing the slowly shrinking ice cap.
