Waterloo Fire - framed original watercolour Painting

The archway formed by the Waterloo Place bridge in Edinburgh leads down to the to the station, but on this particular morning it was as if the station had been replaced by a fierce fire. The power of the low winter sun lit up the whole scene. In reality the proportions of the arch are gargantuan so its being illuminated quite so dramatically called for a page filling presence. I've used a loose wet on wet approach that helps the force off the sunlight to pervade throughout the image, much as it did in front of me. The painting is done on 300gsm Langton Cold Press paper and the overall frame size is 42.0x52.0x3.2cm.
