About The Artwork

View my videos on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHqtTJVX6JE&index=25&list=PLMXPSzDKAHgsrtb_h8k3s1wLepTmDt1QQ I have always been interested reading articles related to the world of atomic science, because I find that the phenomenon of life and therefore the phenomenon of reality they are ambiguous with each other, both are altered in a place of mind. A thought is an attraction of waves [... the attraction of a cluster of waves...] and its result are two particles, one that condenses into matter and another that generates real [... generates the real...]. In our daily lives this double phenomenon is very abstract and informal since it depends on their relativity in time, therefore, the essence of what we create with thought we see it real without matter, but thought as reality and matter may coincide in space, i.e.: When a space it inhabits a particle of thought-matter, then is ago be, is made present as object, body, texture, etc. But when a space it inhabits a particle of thought-real, then is made abstract. I.e., that the abstract does not stop being something in which a thought is no longer. Thinking is to the extent of its production, to the extent of his generation by naturalness, as in generated, it produced makes dual particle at the same time. In this work the artist raises particles in form of half-spheres of colors Blue and red respectively. Both spheres are immersed in an intricate maze of undulating lines made of abrasive mechanical grinding, then other undulating white lines overlap with the already prepared with abrasive media. William Marquina was born in Mérida, Venezuela. Attracted by the works of great masters such as Picasso and Leonardo, at the age of 11 he participated in an outdoor Sunday painting workshop. After graduating in visual arts from the Universidad de Los Andes, he studied a master's degree in philosophy, followed by an unfinished doctorate, and was a short-term visual arts professor at the same university. From now on, William will pursue his passion for art by experimenting with different themes, techniques, styles and media. Disappointed by the unstable situation in his country, he emigrated to the city of Quito in 2019 where he currently lives and produces his works in the Oskan-huera painting studio, cloistered during the pandemic of 2020 and 2021, he will insist on his series Perceptions William's production has been experimentally versatile and challenges us with series characterized by the desire to search, study and complement the archaic and contemporary. His series are notable: Brillo, Picasso Copy, Matisse Copy, Da Vinci Copy and Aperceptions. In the latter, he highlights us in painting, the subjective complexity in the world of perceptions. In 2023 he exhibited his individual retrospective "Imbrications in painting" in the city of Quito; the International Painting exhibition at Casal Català Quito, 2021 and "Exhibition of Ecuadorian Painting" at the Mayor's Office of Quito, 2019. Other important individuals were: "Cartographies of the Terrestrial and Transterranean", Merida 2012; "Care. Path and Limit", 2007 and "Essences", 2007. Awarded the First Prize of Arts for University Students, in 2001.
