There was a gust of wind that took my eyes off a herb bunch getting off the ground, eluding my attention. Yeah, it was late, but the sun was yet shining and I could see the road. Heavy incumbent clouds and fog spelled rain again. However, the weather is like a child. And the new flow of wind broke this lap of clouds exposing a boundless universe where the stars – near or far – seemed to be hooked. I was slowly peering up and hurrying home pushed by the wind.

My name is Roman and I’m a self-taught artist, was born in Moscow in 1988. When living in the megalopolis of tall buildings, underground roads and highways, I always try to take a hard look at its foundation, it's living base on which it was founded, its original nature and its interaction with us. When in motion and living in the age of technology, often at arm's length we are forced to stare ahead without having time to look around or to look up at the sky, at the clouds. Clouds are the same world, part of our life as dynamic, checkered and turbulent life. The sky encompasses all paints, moods and variations, metamorphoses that happen in nature with a rational being - with you, with me. It has been said that: "In order to relax, to get thoughts together you should only raise your eyes to the sky". And I would add: "You don’t need to think about anything, just peer into this endless silence". The artworks created by me appeared thanks to the sensation that a big city influences us - the desire for freedom, the awareness of the vastness of life and its fickleness.
