About The Artwork
From the “Chapters” series. These works were reclaimed from older works on paper. Using a myriad of visual motifs, mark-making, and colors, these works are a reimagined view of my history of painting, celebrating the what I love most. I find the idea of a series interesting as I’m constantly working. Each series inspires the new, but how does it begin and where does it end? In this case it was through material means, I only had 12 pieces of paper. I was particularly inspired by Odilon Redon’s flowers and later works by Brice Marden.
