About The Artwork

In my mixed media artworks I combine a photorealistic drawing in charcoal with a more abstract painting in acrylics, which creates an interesting contrast and allows appreciating different properties of these media. This work is a part of an ongoing project "Wachauer Weinreben" inspired by the richness of forms, patterns and textures of one of the most picturesque wine growing areas in Austria, the Wachau Valley. It does not take long to find grapevines with incredible shapes and textures, which are then reconstructed painstakingly and with devotion in my drawings. I surround these vines with patterns that I design based on the plants growing in the vineyards or decorative elements from the architecture of old towns and villages along the Wachau valley. Weinrebe 2 is obviously inspired by Japanese ink painting as I elaborate on a classical motif with a sakura tree against the background of the rising sun.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I am an artist, designer, and ex-philosopher. My art follows two strands: traditional visual art and new media art that engages with analytic philosophy or complements scientific research. My visual artwork focuses predominantly on the articulation of female desire within the traditional genre of portraiture, as well as on a cognitive appropriation of the city and the expression of political, cultural and personal narratives in the nineteenth- and early twentieth-century residential architecture in Austria and Hungary. I also do landscape painting. Currently, I work and live between Budapest and Krems, Austria.
