ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is inspired by a pencil drawing I made on this subject. I always build a model of what I paint or draw. I built a tower with sticks and metal pieces in the studio.I wanted it to look light and unstable. Then, I provided an imaginary landscape around the tower. As I built this I immediately knew the title of this work would be "What the men built".
