About The Artwork
One of the first pieces I created post stroke (I had a stroke at 43 years old in 2013) it conveys some of the frustration felt during my rehabilitation and some of the difficulty rising from the loss of vision in my left eye. You really don't know how important depth perception is until you lose it. It's not all dark and despair though as the bright colours and metallic paint convey they joy I felt just being able to still do what I love. It is reverse painted on two layers of glass using sign painter enamels and automotive metal flake paint. It is 9"x16"
