ABOUT THE ARTWORK

A powerful and expressive abstract watercolor in strong colors... when I spent some painting time at the Isefjord in Denmark, I was surrounded by clouds, water, storm and the sea, so I felt I had to paint the ever changing atmosphere and lightships! 15x30 cm, W&N watercolor, ink on professional watercolor paper. Comes with free white signed mat so it is ready to be framed in a standard size 30x40 cm frame. ATTENTION: Photos here show virtual custom-sized frame examples. Of course you can chose many more different sizes and frame more expensive, just ask your local framer or contact me for advice. (c) 2020 Gesa Reuter, all rights reserved. COLORS: Please be aware that monitors may show colors slightly different from reality, especially blues and greens. It is almost impossible to avoid that! SHIPPING: Please note, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes which are applied when the delivery reaches that destination. I have no control over these charges and I cannot predict their amount. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order.

Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
