Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Wood, Environmental, Found Objects on Canvas, Wood, Other.

Painting :Acrylic on Canvas
Frame: Linen passe-par tout, Synthetic Grass and Wooden Frame.
A painting from 2009 that was hanging in my studio for years, that I decided to pick up and work on it again. Amazing to see how much progress I have made over the years, and it was really good to get back to that period when I was working on vertically superposed subjects.
As in my recent years I have been working on transparency to play within a frame of time and space and grasp the impermanence of a scenery, working now vertically seems to be the following steps of my work.
But I have to say that working on a canvas is limiting me inside the drawing and I have been looking for a way to go beyond the single painting format. Having played with synthetic grass inside my house I have left over strips and it was the perfect match a make the step.
Opening up the frame allowed me to work on a personal extension and I love the idea of bringing a feeling of greenery within the coldness of a wall, reuniting the outside world inside the house. To further please myself, I thought it interesting to let the train go out of its canvas and wonder in nature, giving a bigger dimension to the painting and the idea behind the subjects.
