ABOUT THE ARTWORK
his latest series of work is an exploration of the horizontal and vertical boundaries of the North Norfolk coastline. Portraying the intertwining relationship between the natural, flat seascape and the beautiful impact manmade objects, such as the strong vertical masts of the many boats and staithes along the salt marshes, has on our environment. Translating these prominent, vertical lines and how they can be represented on canvas and paper I found so exciting. I have enjoyed experimenting with this sense of distance and perspective, to push my own creative boundaries and allow my paintings to build up a history.
