Whisper of Roses - Abstract Study-No.1 Painting

I am from Taiwan, an island rich in natural beauty. I lived in Los Angeles from 2009 to 2011, and some of my art reflects my experiences in the USA. My journey with art began at the age of 8. From ages 12 to 20, I honed my skills in various art studios and schools. My practice primarily focuses on Western art, encompassing photography and sculpture. I have always loved painting and drawing. Even during my childhood classes—whether in mathematics or history—I would often be found sketching on my textbooks, desks, and walls. One of my favorite mediums is black-and-white photography. My extensive experience with charcoal drawing has deepened my appreciation for the expressive power of monochrome. Capturing the essence of a flower or the vastness of a landscape in black and white allows me to evoke deep emotions and a timeless quality. However, finding the perfect subject and conveying the right feeling can be challenging. I often spend hours perfecting a single photograph, knowing that a well-crafted black-and-white image can inspire and calm viewers, leaving a lasting impression much like a charcoal drawing.
