About The Artwork
I visited Sarajevo in 1999. We stayed with the Austrian High Representative in Bosnia/Herzegovina. His house was in the midst of the western side of the valley Sarajevo's in. I criss-crossed on foot up and across this previously bombarded landscape. Out came this painting shortly after I returned to my studio in Austria.
